Arturo Ortiz

Arturo Ortiz graduated in Law at Madrid Autonoumous University and entered the Spanish Civil Service in 1991. He works for the Spanish Tourism Board (Turespaña) since 1997 where he was responsible for the opening of the first Spanish Tourism Office office in Moscow. After 6 years in Russia and CIS countries, he was appointed Director of Spanish Tourism Office in Düsseldorf and moved back to Spain in 2008 as head of the Tourism Intelligence Unit. Based in Mumbai between 2011 and 2014 he was in charge of the Indian market as well as responsible for South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Between 2015 and 2017 he was appointed chief of staff of the Turespaña General Director before moving again back to Germany where his actual position is Tourism Counsellor at Embassy of Spain in Berlin.
