With a wide expertise in live communication and tourism, the Swiss David Ruetz has steered the fortunes of ITB Berlin - The World's Leading Travel Trade Show® for 20 years.
University studies in Zurich and Berlin, project management in the event sector for Volkswagen and Ruhrgas, among others, as well as a tour operator and in incoming. He played a decisive role in the brand expansion of ITB in Asia (Singapore, Shanghai, Mumbai). Launch of the new platform itb.com in March 2020. Interest in linking science and practice in trade fair stand research, with several relevant publications. Married, four children, he is a passionate pianist and chamber musician.
