Detlef Schroer was born on 18.11.1966. After graduating from high school and completing his military service, he studied history at the WWU Münster.
In 1994 he started an apprenticeship in a travel agency as a travel agent. While working, he studied business administration at the Wirtschaftsfachschule zu Münster. In 2001, the experienced tourism expert changed from travel agency to tour operator alltours flugreisen gmbh. Here he initially worked as a consultant and rose to the position of sales manager. In 2010, he moved to schauinsland-reisen gmbh as sales manager. Since 2020, he has also been a member of the management board of Alpha Reisebüropartner GmbH, in which the Duisburg-based tour operator has a 50% stake. In addition, as an authorized signatory, he manages the approximately 30 travel agencies of Funexpress Touristic, a subsidiary of schauinsland-reisen gmbh.
