Family Escobar Walter

Family Escobar Walter is a German-Chilean family of four who fulfilled their dream of sailing around the world. In 2010 they sold their belongings and moved onto the sailing yacht Polarwind, initially for three years, during which they sailed from Greece to Tierra del Fuego at the southern end of South America. After a four year break they started part 2 of their circumnavigation of the world. For three more years the ship was their home. First they went to Antarctica, next they sailed through the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, where Corona made their lives difficult and their personal adventure became a bit too adventurous. In the summer of 2020 they arrived - despite Corona and closed borders - in the Mediterranean Sea. By then, they circumnavigated the world.
