Harald Pechlaner knows tourism in science and practice. In his practical years in the responsible destination management and marketing of a tourism-strong region as well as professor and chair owner for tourism including attached center for Entrepreneurship at the catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt was and is to him the application purchase always a large request. His focus is on destination research, but his broad research experience proves his great interest in questions of economic and social development around the phenomenon of tourism.
He is president of AIEST (Association Internationale D'Experts Scientifiques De Tourisme) and as such is well acquainted with global challenges and the international discussions on the tourism science level. This international networking as well as the broad research work are his strengths in the federal competence center for tourism.
