Norman Siehl

Founder & CEO HIKANOE Gmbh – the boat to go
Norman's childhood and youth took place mainly in handball halls and outdoors. His parents were allotment gardeners and later permanent campers and spent almost the entire summer in nature. And he was often in the middle of it. Water has always played a big role. Fishing and swimming were very popular. Even before camping and tents were the focus of his weekend activities. So it was probably only a matter of time until Norman stumbled over pack rafting.

Hiking now takes up a substantial part of his free time and his job. Years ago he did the first 100 km hike in 24 hours. Infected by the challenge, hiking took up an ever increasing space in his life. Meanwhile there is a hiking association Dahme-Seenland e.V. which he founded and which he presides over. In addition, Norman is a district route warden for the district of Dahme-Spreewald and in 2019 there was the first self-organized 24-hour hike. In 2020 the continuation follows, over the long distance of 100 km.

In addition Norman advises travel areas in the planning and implementation of high-quality hiking trails. For example, he certified quality trails throughout Germany according to the specifications of the German Hiking Association.

But also water is still closely connected to hiking for Norman and therefore his passion, pack rafting, was born. The plan is to make this cool sport better known. The feather light boats are of course justified in the outdoor and bushcraft scene. But just as well they can turn the afternoon into a micro-adventure or the drive to the beach bar into something special. In his lecture Norman will tell you about the many possibilities.
