Director Business Development (Travel Data + Analytics)
Since July 2020 Roland Gassner has been responsible for business development at Nuremberg -based Travel Data + Analytics. Prior to this, he worked for GfK for over 20 years in various roles as a project manager, key account manager and sales representative. For clients such as VW Group, Deutsche Bahn, TourSpain or TUI, he was responsible for the overall budget and advised his clients for many years on all data analysis topics that traditional market research and a full service provider such as GfK is able to offer.
During this time Roland Gassner gained a very wide range of experience in the analysis and interpretation of market trends, consumer insights and customer journeys. His daily business was characterised by supporting clients in the implementation of results from brand and communication research, market potential - including local and target group analysis, touchpoint strategy and advertising impact models.
He sees his special competence in taking up customer-related tasks, developing appropriate solutions with the available resources and presenting the services provided in an implementation-oriented manner for the client.
Roland Gassner considers the following characteristics to be very important of his daily work: reliability in contact with his fellow business partners and a never ending passion for his project: to make the travel industry more successful with well-founded insights!
